Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital.

Her style (striking coat, red hair, gorgeous green eyes and 1920's-inspired cap) stopped me dead in my tracks. I didn't catch her name but she and her chum were standing outside Emergency and if they were doctors they were doing the world good in more ways than one: saving lives aaaaaand representing.

NYC Snow Days: a 'double feature' entry!

Gorgeous and totally inspired

One of the most delightful models I've had the chance to meet! It does make a difference to meet good peoples on the street...especially on a cold snowy day.

I really liked the flow of this ensemble. I first saw her walking on the platform in platforms: long dress, long hair, flowy scarf and solid signature pieces.

variations in texture...

Looks like a little alien or frog ;)

East Side Jaunt in the Snow. GUEST POST!!!!!!

Thanks to Mateo for the guest post! All pix were taken by him (minus below;). We found some great locales on the east side (well suited for the prep-inspired garb, dontchyathink?). Then we ran around the city finding new spots for future posts (keep a look out!). "New York city is the most photogenic, it's like 'Here! Take my picture!'" that's what he said.

JP on the D train

It's true! Nice guy...which is at least half of what Style File is about: good attitude. So, with this T I'm a fan of writing on t-shirts :)

Artist and Performer JP MORAGA

Loving the boots. Thrifted. Check out the metal piece on the toe. And casually cuffed jeans to feature the boot a little more.

Tomi Jazz

Tuesday night, despite the cold and rain and snow (yes indeedy!) I checked out Tomi Jazz: 239 east 53rd street. I went because a friend of mine, Renato Martins--percussionist extraordinaire!--was playing songs from the new album Tempo Feliz.
Cozy corners and low light...just as a jazz club oughtta be ;)

RENATO MARTINS on cajon and, later, udu

The food was yummy too....especially the shrimp Shumaiiiiiiiii!!!!! :) teehee.

Their photag was the style star of the night all in black with a rounded black cap.

Renato and Boris will be performing tomorrow night (Thursday) at Tutuma Social Club so catch 'em in NYC while you can!

Formal and Casual meet on the A train

At length

Super cool mix: how he tied the belt (casual) and folded the scarf (formal).

Love the composition and bold statement on length in the coat.

Fashion Designer on the left. Visual Artist on the right.

The salmon-coloured belt is his design.

Great choice of boot with a little naturally-worn denim
